How to heal with Cold Packs



Cold Packs are alternate remedie to heal pain,sprained limbs,sore throat and inflammation.An ice pack is made by crushing ice and placed in plastic bag,then wraped in a cloth.







Things You'll Need:





Plastic bag




Cloth




Ice




water

SORE THROAT-
Wrap a cold wet cloth round the throat,cover with a dry cloth and leave overnight.In most cases the throat will be eased in the morning.

NOSE BLEEDING or HEDDACHE-
Place a ice cold pack or wet cold pack at the nape of the neck and cover with dry cloth.

HAEMORRHAGE-
If haemorrhage is from any orifice,e.g.anus or vagina-use wet pack on the area itself.

PAIN IN SPINE-
Place a wet pack on the entire spine nd cover with a dry cloth: let the patient sleep.

BODY WET PACK-
Wet a sheet and wrap it around the entire body from under the armpits.Wrap a light blanket over this and let the patient sleep or lie down for an hour.This has a wonderful effect on body.








Tips & Warnings










There are two theories:








1.Place the pack over the painful area ,e.g. sprained ankle and it will reduce the inflammation.








2.Place the pack away from the painful area,e.g. pain in the stomach,keep cold pack on the leg-the inflammation will travel to the cold area.








The water must be as cold as possible,wet cloth means wet not dripping .Change when it becomes warm.
